Over the past sixteen years, designer and artist Floris Hovers has created a colourful, playful and surprising body of work with his own unique style. Floris Hovers is a graduate of the Design Academy and has since designed a wide range of products as an independent designer: toys, furniture and other furnishings and unique items. His designs are produced and marketed by himself or by well-known manufacturers.

With his autonomous works, prototypes, miniatures and product designs, Floris Hovers repeatedly invites you into his almost perfectly simple world, in which the viewer has plenty of room for his own imagination.

Floris Hovers lives in Raamsdonk and works in Raamsdonksveer, where he also grew up. After a basic degree in engineering and training in advertising and presentation technology in Utrecht, he graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2004. In 2006 he founded his own design studio, five years later he was awarded the Sanoma Woonaward "Young Talent". He also taught at the AKV | St. Joost, specializing in spatial design, and currently teaches color and composition at the Design Academy Eindhoven. He regularly gives workshops and guest lectures at home and abroad.
