Muista is a furniture design brand based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Founded by former book designer Aurimas Lažinskas and his cousin Gytis Štaras, Muista's goal is to produce quality chairs for maximum durability and to promote the idea of ​​active sitting - a concept that is very important for people who have no choice but to sit at their work desk for long periods of time.
Scientific research has clearly shown a link between prolonged inactivity while sitting and many of the health problems it causes. Muista believes they have found a good solution here - a chair that offers an unprecedented variety of movement options while sitting and is recommended by health experts.
The main components of the Muista chair (except the fabrics) are manufactured locally by four experienced furniture component manufacturers located in four different Lithuanian cities.
The assembly and some finishing procedures for the chairs are carried out in the Muista studio mainly by the designer's own hands.
