Larissa Gehrmann
From architecture to precious metals
Metal, in all its diversity, from the charm of the cast-iron buildings in Soho New York to contemporary architecture, in which the aesthetics of the metal facades become a component and replace the traditional ornament with gloss gradations and surfaces, to precious metals and their charm, all these are themes and sources of inspiration for the designer Larissa Gehrmann, who passionately pursues the various disciplines of design.
Larissa Gehrmann is currently designing her own collection, creating and producing small series, unique pieces and commissioned works in the areas of jewelry, object and interior design under the label of the same name.
After graduating as a product and interior designer, Larissa Gehrmann started working in an architectural office in Aachen. She then worked in various agencies in Hamburg, specializing in ship and yacht interior design, architecture, interior and industrial design.
Last year she decided to develop her own drafts and designs and turn them into a first collection. At Blickfang 2020 in Hamburg she will be showing her young jewelry line for the first time!
Her designs, and especially her jewelry, are created with the intention of touching people emotionally and with the goal of accompanying their wearers for a long time. Aesthetic principles and the way the jewelry can be worn and combined are just as important to her as the origin of the materials and responsible, sustainable production.
For Larissa Gehrmann, good design is defined by “products and concepts that can be handled with both sophistication and intuitiveness…” “…designs that make you happy and that you can’t get enough of, that therefore have a high value, are long-lasting and sustainable.”
