When unusual material meets minimalism and a strong look meets resource-saving implementation, then we have most likely landed at ISONCA - the label for bags and accessories by Ingrid Hoffmann. In her studio in southern Hesse, she makes unique pieces and small series by hand and loves to combine unusual materials. At ISONCA you will find extraordinary bags made of Softlux®, a high-quality vegan textile material, but the designer also likes to combine the finest golden Italian lambskin with white kraft paper. Kraft paper is one of Ingrid Hoffmann's favorite materials. The tear-resistant, robust mix material made of cellulose feels great, has the structure of leather, and is even washable. Sustainability, reusability and practical use are always the focus here and ISONCA's accessories are still extremely affordable. Reduced to the essentials, designed with love and made by hand in Germany.

Who are you?
IH: My name is Ingrid Hoffmann. My label ISONCA has been around for about 10 years.
I design and make bags and unique concrete jewelry. My items combine minimalism with unusual materials. All unique pieces are made in small series.

What motivated you to become a designer?
IH: I have always been very creative. The main reason for my current label was actually a bag that I was looking for for a friend's wedding but couldn't find. I then designed and made it myself. It turned out that other people liked my style too.

How can one imagine your studio/workshop?
IH: I work at home. I have a small studio here for my materials and an industrial sewing machine suitable for these materials.
